ATP (Available To Promise) is an operational calculation of what quantity can be committed and when. UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) defines how commerce systems and agents discover supported capabilities and interact through agreed data models and interfaces. Current ATP information can support an offer or checkout workflow, but calculating availability and implementing a commerce protocol are different responsibilities.
